Martin Henzelmann is an associate professor for Slavic Linguistics, currently working as a senior lecturer for South Slavic Linguistics at the Department of Slavonic Studies at the University of Vienna, Austria. Martin defended his doctoral thesis on the development of Slavic literary microlanguages in 2015 and completed his post-doctoral qualification as a senior lecturer (habilitation) in 2023 at Dresden University of Technology (Germany). In the field of Slavic linguistics, among others, he focuses on the linguistic landscapes, semiotic landscapes and minority languages. He is co-editor of the yearbook Bulgarica (AVM, Munich) and guest editor of a Special Issue of Zeitschrift für Slawistik (De Gruyter, 2024) and Glottodidactica (AMU Poznań, 2026).
